Amari Creamy Tangerine-Orange Smoothie Recipe
Reminiscent of childhood: this simple smoothie recipe recalls memories of Creamsicle bars or those frosty orange drinks we all remember from the mall.
For a thicker mixture and faster prep, substitute frozen orange juice concentrate for the fresh oranges. To make it vegan, swap coconut yogurt or frozen bananas for Greek yogurt. Or blend in a scoop of whey protein or hemp powder for an extra protein boost.
1 large orange or 1/4 cup frozen orange juice concentrate
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup crushed ice
Orange slices for garnish (optional)
- Peel oranges and break into segments. In a blender, combine orange segments with yogurt, Amari Tangerine Sports Drink and vanilla. Puree on high until smooth.
- With blender running, add crushed ice and puree until mixture is thick and creamy. Serve immediately, garnished with orange slices if desired.
