Creamy Tangerine-Orange Smoothie Recipe

Reminiscent of childhood: this simple smoothie recipe recalls memories of Creamsicle bars or those frosty orange drinks we all remember from the mall.

For a thicker mixture and faster prep, substitute frozen orange juice concentrate for the fresh oranges. To make it vegan, swap coconut yogurt or frozen bananas for Greek yogurt. Or blend in a scoop of whey protein or hemp powder for an extra protein boost.

1 large orange or 1/4 cup frozen orange juice concentrate

1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 can Amari Tangerine Sports Recovery Drink

1/2 cup crushed ice

Orange slices for garnish (optional)

  1. Peel oranges and break into segments. In a blender, combine orange segments with yogurt, Amari Tangerine Sports Recovery Drink and vanilla. Puree on high until smooth.
  2. With blender running, add crushed ice and puree until mixture is thick and creamy. Serve immediately, garnished with orange slices if desired.
