About Lemon Balm

Also known as Melissa officinalis, lemon balm has been used for hundreds of years to promote calm, improve mood and encourage sound sleep. This fragrant member of the mint family is native to Southern Europe, and grows throughout the world, from North America to New Zealand. It's rich in a variety of phytochemicals that work in part by influencing neurotransmitters in the brain to promote a calming, sedative effect, while improving mood, easing stress and boosting cognition.
