Blackberry-Citrus Fizz with Muddled Sage
Blackberries and sage, both rich in brain-healthy antioxidants, combine in this invigorating, clarity-boosting fizz for a sophisticated, alcohol-free cocktail alternative. Instead of blackberries, blueberries or raspberries add variety and the same healing antioxidants. Or add two shots of vodka or white rum for a relaxing adult beverage.
1/2 cup fresh or thawed frozen blackberries
2 large sage leaves, roughly torn
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 teaspoons honey or agave, or to taste
Fresh blackberries for garnish (optional)
- Muddle blackberries and sage in a cocktail shaker or glass jar. Add lime juice, honey or agave and Amari Berry Lemonade Sports Recovery Drink and shake vigorously to combine.
- Strain into two tall glasses filled with ice. Top with sparkling water, garnish with blackberries if desired, and serve immediately.
