Curcuminoids are the main active ingredient in turmeric, providing powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant benefits.

Turmeric (Curcuma Longa) has been used in India for thousands of years as a medicinal herb and a spice, giving curry its characteristic yellow color. The vast majority of turmeric is grown in India and the key ingredients generally come from the root.

The trick with curcumin and turmeric is to take them with black pepper (Piperine) which significantly improves the bio-absorption of curcumin.Amari adds Piperine to each of its products improving the effectiveness of not only the turmeric/curcumin, but also the Ashwagandha.

Turmeric is probably one of the best-known medicinal herbs on the planet. The botanical has been extensively studied for its anti-inflammatory properties as it blocks the NF-kB molecule that regulates (turns on) inflammation in our cells.

When it comes to anti-oxidants, turmeric is hard to beat.Turmeric and curcuminoids directly block oxidants and boosts the activity of your bodies own antioxidant defense systems. Oxidative damage (caused by free radicals, highly reactive molecules with unpaired electrons) are believed to be one of the mechanisms that cause aging.

Amari’s turmeric ingredient is standardized to ≥ 5% active curcuminoids and provides a full spectrum of the active compounds in turmeric.

  • Reduction of normal post exercise joint related inflammation
  • Improved antioxidant status

Turmeric has been the subject of many clinical studies and journal articles, a few are listed below. Please click on the link to open a PDF of the study. Read more about Turmeric on Amari's Blog.
