Amari SuperFan Interview: Tammie Andrighetti

Amari SuperFan Interview: Tammie Andrighetti

Amari delivers whole body wellness, so it’s no wonder the pursuits of our ambassadors often combine aspects of both mental and physical fortitude. This is exactly how Amari SuperFan Tammie Andrighetti approaches her yoga practice.

As Tammie shares, “in 2011 I began to practice three times a week and fell in love with how energized it made me feel.” Ever since, her path has been more and more aligned towards a holistic approach to mental and physical health. Tammie underwent her first yoga teacher training in 2012. Three years later, she completed the rigorous 200-hour yoga teacher training. But that’s not all! Today, Tammie also teaches Power Barre, HIIT (high-interval intensity training), and a variety of other fitness classes. No matter the format, she loves to challenge her students and herself.

When she’s not on the mat, Tammie tackles a 9-5 career and enjoys time with her two daughters and four English bulldogs: Daisy, Bandit, Sobe, and Duke. In light of the global pandemic and corresponding lockdown of the past 11 months, Tammie tells us she is “excited for life to get back to normal!” But we think she’s done a great job of making due, as you’ll read in our interview below.

Interested in taking a class with Tammie? Find her online at North Denver Yoga Love or check out the schedule at CorePower in Broomfield, Colorado to see when she’s teaching next.

1. What does wellness mean to you?
Wellness is about daily habits to maintain physical and mental health, and Amari is part of my daily habit. What you put in your body is important to support physical and mental health. Recovery is just as important as activity. You need to fuel your body for recovery just as you fuel for activity.

2. Tell us how you incorporate Amari into your day-to-day.
I use Amari each day after workouts. In the morning I mix the Recovery packet with greens and essential oils from dōTERRA: Onguard, DDR Prime, Lemon, Turmeric, Ginger, and Grapefruit. In the evening, I use Everyday Calm!

3. How has flexibility–physical, emotional, mental–helped you navigate the challenges of 2020?
2020 was an adventure for everyone. Teaching was always a supplier to my income, but at the beginning of 2020 it became my main source and when COVID hit I had to pivot to continue to survive. I am fortunate enough to be surrounded by innovative teachers and I joined forces with them to offer online classes. I stayed consistent and my students also became consistent. Without the dedication of the students, there would be no way to support this lifestyle. I started recording classes and offering an on-demand library, which allowed me to reach even more students over the course of the year. I’m very grateful for their support!

4. Can you share a few of your goals and intentions for the New Year?
2021 is unknown, but I prefer to see this as an exciting opportunity. My goal is to challenge my students to keep them interested and engaged! I also want to remain grateful for my health and my ability to teach. Lastly, my goal is to gain a greater appreciation for friends, family, and students who drive and motivate me daily.
